In April of this year, Samsung confirmed that it would have an unlocked variant of its Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ available in the United States. Now the wait is over.
Samsung has announced that unlocked models of the S8 and S8+ are available for pre-order beginning today, May 9. Both models will begin shipping before the end of the month, with orders placed by May 24 arriving on May 30. Samsung only has the Midnight Black option available to those who want to go the unlocked route, so keep that in mind.
As for pricing, the Galaxy S8 will cost $724.99 and the Galaxy S8+ is priced at $824.99. Both devices are being offered with 0% financing, and buying one of the unlocked models will also net you the Samsung Entertainment Package (6 months of Netflix, a 64GB microSD card, Clear View standing case) as a free gift.
The handsets will also be available at Best Buy.
