Sony Xperia X Performance owners in Canada, get your phones ready! Rogers has started to push the Android 7.1.1 Nougat update for the phone. Quite exciting news indeed.
Thus the device becomes one of the few non-Google smartphones to offer Android 7.1.1 Nougat. The new build also includes the April security patch.
Launched back in early 2016, the Sony Xperia X Performance takes advantage of a 5-inch display with 1920 x 1080 resolution and 441ppi. It yields the power of a Snapdragon 820 on the inside, as well as 3GB and 32GB/64GB of built-in storage – depending on version.
Sony phones are well known for carrying impressive cameras onboard. The Xperia X Performance is not an exception to the rule. It features a 23-megapixel primary camera with phase detection autofocus, LED flash, as well as a 13-megapixel selfie snapper with f/2.0 which will surely allow owners to snap some great self-portraits.
The device has a fingerprint sensor mounted on the side and takes advantage of a 2,700 mAh battery.
If you haven’t received a notification on your phone alerting you the over-the-air update is available for your phone, you can always take the proactive route and check the Update section under About phone to see if it has arrived.
