Have a Samsung Galaxy S8 or Galaxy S8+? Then you’ll probably want to know that Samsung DeX dock – the one you can use to turn your flagship into a desktop – will soon be available for purchase in Canada.
The little dock supports Bluetooth and comes equipped with an HDMI port, an Ethernet port, two USB ports, as well as a USB Type-C connector for fast charging. It also takes advantage of a built-in fan which has the purpose of keeping the smartphone cool.
The dock allows users to take advantage of the phone’s Android interface on a larger desktop screen, as well as add keyboard and mouse peripherals.
If you’d like to get one for yourself, you should know the DeX is a bit more expensive in Canada than it is in the US where it sells for $150. According to Mobile Syrup who contacted Samsung Canada on the matter, the accessory is expected to sell for a price of $249 CAD which translates into about $186. DeX should land in Canada later today, so if you really want one, you should keep an eye out.
