At I/O 2017 Google said it will soon offer the option to make real-life printed photo books out of their collection of images.
Well, it appears the feature is currently live in Canada, at least for some users who are seeing the option in their Photo app.
As it’s shown in a screenshot posted by a Canadian user on Reddit, you’ll be able to opt for a 7-inch softcover square book with 20 pages for $9.99 or a 9-inch hardcover book with 20 pages for $19.99. If 20 pages are not enough, Google offers the option of adding an extra soft-cover page for $0.35 or a hardcover one for $0.65.
We also expect that the other new Photos features announced during the Google I/O 2017 will start rolling out in the next few weeks across multiple territories including Canada.
Perhaps the most interesting is going to be the inclusion of Lens. This feature will basically bestow built-in object-recognition, which means users will be able to learn more about the objects in their photos.
During the same event, Google also announced Suggested Sharing which makes use of machine learning algorithms to determine who appears in a photo, as well as suggest the people with whom you should share the image with.
