Good news for GBoard fans today! Google’s Gmail app has just added support to GBoad’s GIF keyboard.
GBoard’s GIF search function has proved quite popular with users who love expressing themselves via animations. Most recently, WhatsApp and Facebook added support for the same function and now Gmail is the latest to join the club – though, unexpectedly. The mail app often feels very professional, but the fun GIF addition will certainly be appreciated by more light-hearted users.
Users can now easily search for the right GIF and simply add it to their email right from the keyboard without having to open any third-party apps. But in order to take advantage of this function you’ll need to update the Gmail Android app to the latest version which is v.7.3.13.151698241. It should become available in the Google Play Store soon, but if you can’t spot it yet, don’t fret – just wait a day or two.
On top of the GBoard GIF function, the latest update to Google’s mail app also brings a feature that allows users to send and request money instantly, just by tapping the attachment icon when composing an email. Is Gmail trying to turn into PayPal, now?
