Motorola has maintained that it plans on launching new Moto Mods for its Moto Z lineup of modular smartphones, and now there are even more accessories to look forward to.
Motorola has two brand new Moto Mods on the way, one from Mophie and the other from Incipio. The first is a brand new battery pack for the Moto Z, Moto Z Force, and Moto Z Play. The new battery pack is bigger than Incipio’s battery pack Moto Mod, offering a 3000mAh battery, and Motorola says that it can provide up to 60 percent more battery life. There’s a status indicator light, and a USB Type-C port so that the case can be charged independently of the phone.
The Mophie battery Moto Mod retails for $79.99, and it’s already up for order from Verizon right here.
The other new Moto Mod is the Incipio Car Dock. With it, owners can attach the accessory to their car’s air conditioning vent, either horizontally or vertically, thanks to the magnets in the phone. The case makes it possible to charge the phone and connect it to your car’s audio system thanks to a 3.5mm output. When the Moto Z is docked, it will automatically launch Android Auto for easier navigation.
The Incipio Car Dock will retail $64.99 when it becomes available soon.
Motorola also confirmed that it plans on launching even more Moto Mods throughout 2017, more than it did in 2016, with four new options arriving every quarter.
