In a post to Slack HQ today, the Slack Android team announced that version 2.0 is coming (graduating from the 1.9.9 beta), and so far it looks much better than the current stable iteration.
With 2.0, Slack aims to fix its current navigation problem. Rather than hiding channels and teams in opposing sliding panels (one on each side of the screen), the new version puts teams up top, and channels in the nav drawer.
