Near final build of Android 4.3 leaked for the Galaxy S4 GT-I9505

The rate at which Google updates Android is a bit ridiculous at times. The Samsung Galaxy S4 launched with the newest version of Android around, 4.2 Jelly Bean. Not too long after, 4.3 Jelly Bean was released to the world. And now, Android 4.4 Kit Kat is on the horizon, making phones seem more dated than they really are. Luckily, Samsung is doing a decent job of keeping up with updates.

Flashing leaked builds on Samsung devices, while potentially dangerous and absolutely warranty voiding, has always been fun to me. And the latest leaked build is of Android 4.3 for the international Samsung Galaxy S4 GT-I9505. But it isn’t any regular build, but a nearly finished build that should be almost identical to the final release.

Despite this build not being the official update, it will not set off your flash counter or trigger your KNOX warranty counter. It will, however, wipe your device so a backup is necessary before flashing it. For the download and more instructions, hit the source link but do so at your own risk. And don’t go flashing the build on US Galaxy S4′s or the 3G I9500 model.

Along with this build came the information that the official update will begin rolling out to international Galaxy S4 devices sometime in the next two weeks. This means that US variants are not too far behind (though knowing at what speed US carriers update their phones, we might have a small wait ahead of us), and we might possibly see Android 4.3 builds for the Galaxy S III and Galaxy Note II pretty soon.
