Play Store website is displaying a lot of games as incompatible with all devices

Something strange is currently going on with the browser version of the Play Store. Many games are showing as incompatible with all devices when they clearly shouldn't be. It doesn't matter if you've purchased an affected game or if you have it installed; this strange bug will still show these titles as incompatible with all devices. There doesn't appear to be any rhyme or reason to it really, but at the very least the Play Store application isn't affected, so you can still install all of your games through the app on any of your devices.

WhatsApp 2.19.17 makes it easier to call all participants in a group

Group calls on WhatsApp aren't new. The feature began showing up last May and rolled out to everyone in July, but many users still don't know it exists. The reason is that you couldn't actually call a group, you had to start by calling to one person then add other participants. It wasn't until a few weeks ago that WhatsApp beta added the option to call a group, and now this is available in the stable version of the app.

Instagram lets you add those ridiculous Story filters to existing images and videos

Instagram nowadays is synonymous with three words: Stories, filters, and ads; and the first two are at the crux of the latest addition we spotted in the app. After allowing you to apply filters à la Snapchat while taking photos and videos for your Stories, Instagram has added the option to use those filters after the fact.

Say you have already recorded a cute video and you think it'd be elevated with some bunny ears, or you took a selfie that would look great with purple glitter all over, or you have a ridiculous GIF that could be made even more ludicrous with a large open mouth animation, you can make those edits now.

Firefox for Android is pretty great these days, and it's about to get a bit better. Firefox 65 just entered the beta channel, and it includes support for a long-awaited web feature — WebP images.

Facebook is retiring Moments, but you can still save your photos

Back in 2015, Facebook wanted to simplify picture sharing by launching Moments, its own Google Photos rival. The concept was simple: you would upload files from your gallery to privately share them with friends, keeping them separate from your Facebook albums. Despite 50 million downloads on the Play Store alone, the social media giant has decided to kill its app and is urging users to save their photos.

Facebook has updated the app's changelog as well as started emailing users and displaying notifications in the app to warn of its upcoming death.

WhatsApp Business adds quick replies, filtering, and labels to desktop and web apps

Last January, Facebook launched WhatsApp Business, targeting small businesses looking to communicate with customers over WhatsApp. The app lets owners set up profiles with email addresses, working hours, and location details, along with a certain degree of automation: quick replies, Gmail-style labeling of conversations, and filters. This functionality had been specific to the Android app so far, but that changes today — WhatsApp Business users can now enjoy these features on the desktop and web app too.
