5G is in the earliest stages of rolling out to consumers — unless you ask AT&T, anyway. The few hundred megabytes that most speed testing apps use in a single benchmark can't adequately measure ultra-fast connections, but the Android app for Speedtest.net is now equipped for the task.
The latest update to the Speedtest app adds a new "1000M" scale option, which forces the app to transmit 1 GB of data for each test.
