Whatsapp's message forwarding limit of five chats rolling out globally

Facebook-owned Whatsapp took action last year after groups in India used the service to spread rumors and misinformation, resulting in mob violence that killed at least 25 people. With more than 1.5 billion active users, misleading content on Whatsapp can spread like wildfire. So, the site started ratcheting up limitations on message forwarding. The stricter version of that restriction is rolling out globally starting today.

Last year, users around the world found they could only forward messages to 20 chats at a time.
