HTC confirmed earlier this year that four of its Android devices would be updated to Pie, and now the first of those updates has begun rolling out.
The HTC U11 Life is now receiving its update to Android 9 Pie. The update is rolling out to the international, Android One version of the HTC U11 Life. It’s 720.3MB in size and includes the October 2018 Android security patches.

Along with the U11 Life, HTC has said that the U12+, U11+, and U11 will be updated to Pie. It’s unclear when those updates will come, but it makes sense that the U11 Life would be updated first since it’s running Android One software rather than HTC’s custom Sense UI. Now we wait for HTC’s flagship phones to get their own serving of Pie, which will hopefully be along sooner rather than later.
