AT&T is launching Samsung’s 5G phone in spring 2019

Samsung has a 5G smartphone on the way. It’s probably the Galaxy S10, if the rumor mill is accurate. And Verizon has already announced it will launch the incoming handset in early 2019.

Not to be left out of the 5G excitement, AT&T has just announced that it, too, will be carrying Samsung’s unnamed 5G smartphone in 2019. The handset will launch in the spring and will be the big blue carrier’s second 5G device. Unfortunately, if you were hoping for details on that incoming Samsung device, AT&T’s official announcement doesn’t have anything more to give us.

AT&T is still planning on rolling out their 5G network before the end of 2018, so at least folks who do pick up Samsung’s new phone early next year will have a working network to connect it to. As long as they are within one of the 12 launch markets, of course.
