Sony wasn’t necessarily the fastest smartphone manufacturer to jump on the minimal bezels bandwagon, but the company is slowly adopting the design aesthetic.
That is definitely the case with what appears to be the company’s next smartphone, the Xperia XZ4. MySmartPrice has a report out that aims to shed some light on the incoming flagship, showcasing its 6.5-inch display and the slim bezels along the way. The images are put together based on factory CADs, so while this may indeed be the final design decision that Sony goes with, it’s also possible we see some changes whenever Sony decides to officially unveil the handset.
Sony’s putting small bezels on the top and bottom so there doesn’t have to be a notch. Meanwhile, along the right side there is a physical camera shutter button and the fingerprint reader. Around back are three rear cameras stacked in a vertical orientation. There is no 3.5mm headphone jack (surprise, surprise), but we can see a USB-C port on the bottom for charging.
There isn’t a lot to break down when we get into the specs department. It’s likely we’ll see flagship hardware, but we’ll apparently have to wait until Mobile World Congress (February 25-28) to find out more from an official standpoint.
What do you think of the Xperia XZ4′s design?
