Samsung Galaxy A8s render and specs leak out

It has been a year since Samsung refreshed its Galaxy A8 lineup, and it looks like its newest offering will definitely be worth a look.

AllAboutSamsung.de has a new report on Monday that outlines what we can expect from the Samsung Galaxy A8s in the specs and design departments. You’ll definitely notice right off the bat that this device will boast Samsung’s “Infinty-O” design, which means it will drastically reduce the bezels on the top, bottom, and sides but leave a small punch-out hole in the top-left corner for the front-facing camera. The result, if the render is accurate, is certainly noteworthy.

This is a mid-range handset, but it’s skating that line with the high-end pretty closely. That starts with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 processor under the hood, 6GB of RAM, and 128GB of built-in storage. That display will reportedly measure in at 6.4 inches. It will support microSD cards up to 512GB, and the battery is said to measure in at 3400mAh. It will also be running Android 9.0 Pie out of the box.

Around back there are three cameras (similar to what we saw in the Galaxy A7 earlier this year): 24MP, 10MP, and 5MP shooters in a vertical orientation. And around front there is a 24MP front-facing camera.

As far as a release date for the Galaxy A8s is concerned, word is that Samsung is planning for some time in January and that the company could officially unveil the A8s in December. Based on the specs and the render, is this a device you’d consider picking up?
