Google Pixel 3 XL images reportedly leak out, show off a notch

Word on the street is that the next Pixel flagship smartphone is going to adopt the notch design that is running rampant out there in the world right now, and a new image leak appears to confirm that.

Photos have been shared to the XDA Forums which appear to show an unannounced smartphone with an unlocked bootloader and a notch at the top of the display. The front of the handset is pretty nondescript as you can tell from the image above, looking like plenty of other big smartphones out there. Unfortunately, the notch itself doesn’t tell us anything, either.

However, it’s the back of the same device that may tell us what we’re actually looking at: the Google Pixel 3 XL. We can see that familiar design with the glass section up top and the fingerprint reader just below it. And, as previously rumored, the smartphone boasts just a single camera on the back. Google is expected to skip the dual rear camera bandwagon yet again this year.

There is a chin on the front of the phone, too, which would line up with previous rumors, including a leak of what was believed to be screen protectors for the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL. That also seems to confirm that the Pixel 3 XL will keep the front-facing speaker design.

There appear to be a pair of front-facing cameras, too. That probably means we’ll be getting some kind of face unlock feature in the Pixel 3 XL.

If these images are the real deal, what do you think of the upcoming Pixel 3 XL?
