Ahead of an official announcement, Samsung has accidentally spilled the beans on its upcoming Galaxy A6 and A6+ smartphones. Full specs and images of the phone have been revealed on the Samsung Indonesia website. The new devices share some specs, though the A6+ is the higher-end model, sporting some upgrades over the standard A6.
The Samsung Galaxy A6 will feature:
- 5.6-inch 1480 x 720 display with 18.5:9 aspect ratio
- 1.6GHz octa-core processor
- 3GB RAM
- 32GB storage plus a microSD card slot
- 16-megapixel rear camera with f/1.7 aperture
- 16-megapixel front camera with f/1.9 aperture
- 3000mAh battery
- Fingerprint scanner
- Dolby Atmos sound
- Bixby Vision, Home, and Reminder
The Galaxy A6+ is upgraded in almost every way, featuring specs including:
- 6-inch 2220 x 1080 display with 18.5:9 aspect ratio
- 1.8GHz octa-core processor
- 4GB RAM
- 32GB storage plus a microSD card slot

Though pricing and availability details haven’t been released, we fully expect the Galaxy A6 to cost less than the A6+. Both phones are well-equipped mid-range devices, with the A6+ even venturing into the lower rungs of the high-end market. Samsung is likely planning a launch in select countries throughout Europe and Asia, though again, availability information has not been announced.
What are your thoughts on these new devices from Samsung? What do you think they should be priced at?
