Every week we cover new Android apps with Fresh Meat on Wednesday, followed by Android Gaming on Thursday and Top 10 App Updates on Friday. When Monday rolls around, we look back to see which apps were the most appealing to our audience. Read on for the five most popular Android apps from last week. These apps are ones that are most likely new and haven’t appeared in the top five list more than three times.
1. Google Tasks
App info: Get more done with the Google Tasks mobile app. Manage, capture, and edit your tasks from anywhere, at anytime, with to-dos that sync across all your devices. Integrations with Gmail and Google Calendar help you get tasks done—faster.
2. Audiobook Reader – Turn any eBook into an Audiobook
App info: Introducing the Good e-Reader Audiobook Reader that turns any eBook into an audiobook! This is the first Android app in the world that forgoes the standard text to speech engine and employs Amazon Polly, which is what Alexa is built on.
3. OnePlus Gestures
App info: “Gesture control” is the next big thing. The “iPhone X” has it, “OnePlus” adapted it and it looks like that “Android P” will also add a “Gesture Control” thing. For sure many other oem’s like “Samsung”, “Huawei”, “Motorola” or “LG” will also adapt it in the near future.
4. Monkey
App info: How to meet new people on Monkey: Accept a video chat. Talk for 15 seconds. If you’re both feeling a vibe, add time. If the vibe feeling isn’t mutual, don’t. Repeat with someone new.
5. Opera Touch
App info: When you start Opera Touch, the browser is instantly ready to find things on the web. Just start typing or use voice search. When you have found a QR code, simply use the app to scan it and go to the website it links to. You can also use Opera Touch to scan a barcode on a product and to look it up online.
Note: To ensure that all apps receive a fair chance to make the list, we will retire any app that has made the list for three consecutive weeks and identified with an * after the name.
