April has officially kicked into gear, which means Google is ready to publish new factory and security images for some of its Nexus and Pixel devices.
Today Google officially published both the factory images and OTA images for Nexus and Pixel devices. Both are available now for sideloading if you want to go that route. If you prefer to wait for the over the air software update, that should arrive in the next few days.
The April security bulletin outlines what’s new in this update, including patched vulnerabilities related to the Android framework, Broadcom and Qualcomm components, and more.
In addition to all that, Google has also outlined a few of the technical improvements it is making to its Nexus and Pixel devices. That includes general lock screen improvements for all of its Pixel smartphones, Assisted Dialing support for the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL, and more. You can see those new additions through this link.
