Kenwood head units with wireless Android Auto connectivity coming in 2018

Android Auto is an awesome car infotainment system (though I’m sure many people would disagree) but it requires the device being plugged into the car at all times. Plugging your phone in every time you get into the car can be annoying, and it takes away the ability to use a fast charger when you need it.

Thankfully, the next wave of Android Auto head units should have wireless Android Auto connectivity so you can climb into your car and just use Android Auto. Kenwood has announced one such head unit with a wireless connection and a 720p LCD panel.

Unfortunately, no release date or specs were released at the moment. We’ll have to wait for CES 2018 to get the full scoop on his head unit. Other brands should be doing the same so keep an eye out!
