OnePlus has confirmed that its flagship smartphone, the OnePlus 5T, will receive a software update that will bring a few key optimizations to the handset.
Announced yesterday, OnePlus says the rollout of software update version OxygenOS 4.7.6 has begun. This is an over-the-air (OTA) update, which means that it will be a gradual rollout, so if you haven’t already received the update on your handset, it should land soon.
As for what the new software brings, it’s primarily focused on optimizations for the camera. That includes overall stability improvements and clarity improvements for when you take a selfie in low light. The update also includes the December security patches for Android, “assistive lighting” for face unlock, and more.
