Google will fix random Pixel 2 reboot issue ‘in the coming weeks’

The Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL haven’t had the smoothest launch. The two handsets have been plagued by issues with their displays, with audio, and more.

That trend continues, unfortunately, as many owners of the handsets have been reporting random and unexpected reboots. Google has identified the issue causing the problem and will be patching it in an update “in the coming weeks.”

There’s no specific date to circle on the calendar just yet, so Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL owners will just have to be aware of future software updates that may include a bundle of other improvements at the same time.

While these issues are certainly annoying both for Google and Pixel 2 owners, at least the company is working to address them in a timely fashion. Google has even extended the manufacturer’s warranty for both handsets to two years, which should hopefully put some owners at ease.

Have you experienced this random reboot issue in your Pixel 2?
