The problems that have plagued the Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL have been quite concerning to those who have purchased the devices. With how much Google has messed up in a short time, and the problems older Nexus devices experienced over time, could the phone we a bad long term purchase?
The current Pixel 2 problems, like the screen problems and NFC clicking, are being fixed with software updates. But to ease people’s minds, the company has extended the warranty for both Pixel 2 models to two years.
For those of you who purchased Preferred Care, it will not be extended. You can get a refund within 30 days of purchasing it if you choose, but it still has benefits despite the regular warranty being longer now.
Hopefully this will put people’s minds at ease about buying a Pixel 2. With future updates fixing some issues, it may very well become the phone we expected. Have you changed your mind about buying a new Pixel? Leave a comment!
