Google Camera HDR+ port updated with bug fixes and zero shutter lag

The Google Camera app with HDR+ from the Google Pixel was recently ported to other Snapdragon-powered devices, but it had a lot of bugs keeping it from being a main camera app. 60 FPS video was broken, the front camera wouldn’t work on some devices, and there were a multitude of crashes.

The latest release has fixed most of the bugs and the developer has also added Zero Shutter Lag in auto HDR+ mode. You can now take photos in an instant, even when HDR+ is in use. Forcing HDR+ will disable ZSL and use a stronger HDR algorithm.

Another developer has fixed some issues with Snapdragon 820 and 821 devices in a separate APK release for those who need it. If you’re rocking a late model Snapdragon devices with the Hexagon 680 DSP, hit the source link to give the app a shot! The results are pretty amazing.
