Samsung’s next Unpacked event will see the Galaxy Note 8 make a live debut. But the Korean tech giant is also prepping a new wearable for release.
According to a report coming out of Venture Beat (and later a Tweet from Evan Blass), the device called Gear Fit2 Pro will be unveiled during the IFA 2017 trade show in Berlin which is scheduled to being on September 1st.
Update: I'm now hearing that they may be saving this for an IFA unveiling, in Berlin, at the end of the month.

Building upon the previous Gear Fit 2, the new fitness tracker boasts advanced 5 ATM water resistance which means it can survive being fully submerged in up to 50 meters of water and can track swimming sessions. The previous model only had IP68 certification for brief interactions with water.
What’s more, the wearable will come with support for music playback even offline via the Spotify app. It will also include GPS and will sync with the Speedo On app.
Last but not least, we’re told the Gear Fit2 Pro will take advantage of a sturdier clasp to ensure the wearable doesn’t fall off during more vigorous workouts.
The band is said to be compatible with both Android and iOS devices and will be sold with a free 1-year subscription to Under Armour’s premium services as part of the bundle.
While it was previously mentioned the Samsung Fit2 Pro will make a debut alongside the Galaxy Note 8, now it seems the company is saving it for the Berlin event.
