Leaked images show off Fitbit smartwatch and Bluetooth headphones

Last month, it was reported that Fitbit was hard at work on a pair of Bluetooth headphones as well as a smartwatch that would boast built-in GPS and other features.

The company was allegedly facing issues with production, though, both on the software side and on the hardware front, which pushed back the release date for both devices. Now we’ve got what appears to be our first look at what Fitbit has been working so hard on.

A report from Yahoo Finance has revealed Fitbit’s new smartwatch and Bluetooth headphones. First, the rumored smartwatch looks like a pretty clear iterative design copy of the Fitbit Blaze, which launched in 2016 and retails for $150. There’s the familiar square face and the hardware buttons along the side. The band even appears to be similar to the Blaze’s elastomer band.

We can’t make anything out regarding the software on board this smartwatch, but we can see that we’ll at least be able to tell where we are and what the temperature is. What that creepy face is meant to represent, though, remains a mystery.

As far as specs are concerned, today’s report indicates that the smartwatch will feature a built-in heart-rate monitor, GPS, the ability to make touch-less payments, and play music from Pandora. The battery will apparently last four days between charges, too.

It’s expected to retail for around $300.

Meanwhile, the Bluetooth headphones will hang around your neck, so they won’t be completely wireless. They’ll be available in two colors, and will apparently retail for around $150.

So, what do you think of Fitbit’s new hardware? Planning on picking either one up when/if they launch later this year?
