Google’s Chrome for Android has the ability to download web pages for reading at a later time, but the company has improved the functionality of this feature in the latest update.
Long pressing a link will now give you a “Download Link” option. If you’re offline and you see the offline page (with the cute dinosaur), there will now be a button to download the page the next time you’re online. Lastly, articles you have downloaded will show up with an offline badge in the new tab page for easy access.
If you frequently go offline (like on the subway, or if you live in an area with spotty coverage), these changes are sure to be useful. Head to the Play Store and update to the latest version of Google Chrome to take advantage of them!
