It’s been a while since Android 7.0 Nougat was released, but it remains the major Android OS version and the updates are still rolling out. Though most recent flagships have been updated for a fair while, some older flagships are now receiving their dose of Nougat-y goodness. Notably, AT&T is now pushing Android Nougat to the Galaxy S6 series, including the Galaxy S6, S6 edge, and S6 Active.
The update contains all of the improvements that are standard with Nougat. It also comes with plenty of new enhancements and changes from Samsung on its UI. Additionally, AT&T is removing two of its pre-installed apps, AT&T Address Book and MobiTV.
The update is large, around 1.2GB, depending on the device, so make sure you’re connected to Wi-Fi and have a full battery before you download. Users should be seeing their notifications any time now, but it might take a couple of days before the update hits your device. Drop a comment when it does.
