Announced back at CES 2017, the ASUS Zenfone 3 Zoom is finally available for pre-order. In Canada the phone arrives with a $479 CAD price-tag and can be acquired from Amazon.ca.
The handset is a mid-range handset with a focus on photography. The 5.5-incher features an AMOLED panel with 1920 x 1080 resolution. When it comes to computing power, the Zenfone 3 Zoom relies on a Snapdragon 625 processor in combination 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage with a microSD card slot expandable up to 2TB.
The strongest point of the Zenfone 3 Zoom is the main camera which consists of a dual 12-megapixel camera setup with 2.3x optical zoom, 4K video recording. The selfie snapper is also of 13-megapixel variety.
On top of that, the phone features a pretty hefty 5,000 mAh non-battery which should be able to sustain a pretty long life onboard of the device.
Canadian customers need to keep in mind that the phone is not compatible with the LTE band 66 required to get 4G LTE on Freedom Mobile. However, you can use Freedom Mobile’s 3G network instead.
The phone is quite a nice alternative to dual camera phones like the ZTE Blade V8 Pro and Honor 6X. Come and get it, folks!
