Android Wear 2.0 should have come to some smartwatches a while ago, but with delay after delay, they’re still stuck on an old software version. Google has put up a FAQ for Android Wear 2.0 giving more info on the update process.
The company gives a list of devices getting the update as well as a list not getting it, which is nothing new. First gen devices are still off the table. Here’s a list of devices that are confirmed getting the update:
- Moto 360 Gen 2
- Moto 360 Sport
- LG Watch Urbane 2nd Edition LTE
- Huawei Watch
- Huawei Watch Ladies
- Asus ZenWatch 2
- Asus ZenWatch 3
The update should launch between April and May, which is significantly delayed compared to earlier promises of March. Google claimed that it delayed the update due to finding a bug, so it’s probably for the best. Still, many owners of the watches are getting restless.
The FAQ will be updated in the future so stay tuned for more updates!
