The Honor 6X is a great budget phone and we loved it during our time with it, but Android 6.0 on a new device was a bit of a bummer and Huawei’s Emotion UI 4.1 is a bit strange, to say the least. While it’s a good and usable skin, some aspects of the software are not ideal.
EMUI 5.0 fixes that, making the skin faster, smoother, and more stock-like. The update has hit the Honor 8 and has made a huge difference. The new software is the bees’ knees, not to mention all the improvements Nougat brings on its own.
Now Honor wants some beta testers for the new software on the Honor 6X. If you’re interested in running beta software, you’ll have to send your IMEI to the listed email. Be sure to provide feedback to Honor if you join in on the beta!
