Yes, it’s another Samsung battery fire story. This time it wasn’t a device catching fire, but waste materials (including discarded lithium batteries) in a Samsung SDI factory in Tianjin, China that caught fire.
The fire was put out and no one was hurt. Unfortunately, this is a factory of one of the suppliers of the Note 7 batteries. It’s not the greatest press for Samsung. Thankfully, the fire happened in a disposal area rather than on the assembly line and this event won’t cause any delays in production.
All in all, this is nothing to worry about when it comes to future products. It’s just yet another unfortunate event for Samsung’s public image.
