Android 7.1.2 beta now available for Nexus and Pixel devices

It’s been a bit of time since Google officially released Android 7.1.1 to the public, so it’s about time for a new beta to make an appearance.

Google has confirmed on its developer blog that Android 7.1.2 is currently in beta and is now rolling out to select Nexus and Pixel devices. Google says the update is focused on “refinements” and that it includes “bugfixes and optimizations, along with a small number of enhancements for carriers and users.”

The devices that can access the new beta include the Pixel C, Pixel, Pixel XL, Nexus Player, and the Nexus 5X. Google says that a separate release will be made for the Nexus 6P soon. The public launch should happen “in just a couple of months,” where it will be available for the same list of devices, but to the public.

Do you plan on installing the new software?
