Samsung Pay gains iris authentication support

Having a form of authentication is very important for mobile payment apps, and fingerprint sensors are a lot easier than entering a PIN over and over. Now Galaxy Note 7 owners have another authentication option for Samsung Pay.

The latest update to Samsung Pay adds iris scanner support, allowing you to approve purchases in what Samsung says is a safer and more secure fashion. The update also includes a cloud restore option for restoring your membership and gift cards when you log in, though this won’t support payment cards.

If you’re interested in giving it a shot, download the update to the app and let us know how it works out!
