While the Galaxy Note 7 launch is two months from now, rumours for the phone are revealing more and more.
According to The Korea Herald, they are claiming that a Korean camera module manufacturer by the name of Patron will be the supplier for the Galaxy Note 7’s Iris scanner. This is evident by the company’s winning bid months ago to supply the sensors to Samsung.
While the Note 7 is still expected to come with a fingerprint scanner, an Iris scan offers a lot of security advantages such as the ability to recognize 266 traits versus only 40 traits with a fingerprint.
The Galaxy Note 7 is set to launch on August 2nd in New York.
