Almost every flagship phone released this year has a USB-C connector, except for the Galaxy S7. However it looks Samsung’s next flagship phone will be the company’s first USB-C phone.
According to a SamMobile exlusive, the Galaxy Note 6 will come with a USB-C connector. Unfortunately, it is still not known whether this will be USB 3.1 spec as that supports fast charging and HDMI video out.
Also, because the Note 6 is coming with a USB-C connector, Samsung will have to release an updated Gear VR in order to support it. Now if it will be the 2nd generation Gear VR, that’s up to you to decide.
