HTC has done a great job keeping their users in the know when it comes to software updates and here’s the latest from the Taiwanese company. According to the VP of Product Management, Mo Versi, unlocked versions of the HTC One M9 will receive Android 6.0.1 (yes, Android 6.0.1, not 6.0!) by the end of the month. As we just learned, 6.0.1 packs a bunch of new Emoji’s in addition to some other goodies. Google just began rolling out this update to Nexus devices so if HTC can start their roll out by the end of the month that’d be a big plus in my books.
Again, this time frame is for the unlocked version of the M9. Carrier versions will roll out shortly after as they have to undergo the usual carrier testing and what not.
