Android 6.0 Marhsmallow was announced in late September 2015 and since then, the update has spread out to various non-Nexus devices like the Sony Xperia Z3, Moto X Pure. Other OEMs did confirm availability of the update for their respective devices, however none have succeeded in releasning a consumer build like LG.
The LG G4 just got its official Android 6.0 Marshmallow in various european countries like Germany, Austria, Spain and more. Aside from Googles changes, this update doesn’t bring that much of a difference. Knock code has been changed with a new restriction of a minimum of 6 taps.
No word yet on North American availability but it is expected to roll out in the first half of 2016.
