For all those waiting for the factory images, well they’re here.
Only a day after the Nexus 4 OTA update went live, Google decided to finally release the respective Factory Images for the Nexus 4, Nexus (2013) and Nexus 7 (2013) mobile tablet. The build number is the same as yesterday’s Nexus 4 OTA (LMY407O). These images are very useful if you want to make your device run like new, skip the OTA staged rollout or to reset it back to stock after using 3rd party Android ROMs.
Android 5.1 brings numerous but subtle new features, enhancements and bug fixes. The Nexus 9 is now the only new and supported Nexus device to not receive the update, and nobody knows why.
