HTC is company that’s worked hard to gain ground in the mid-range Android market. Its Desire series is long-running and has a solid reputation that HTC is working to keep. The latest entrant into the Desire family is the HTC Desire 826. The Desire 826 packs a 5.5-inch 1080p display, which is better than most mid-range smartphones. But that’s not all that it has going for it.
HTC has also loaded the Desire 826 with a 1.7GHz 64-bit octa-core Snapdragon 615 processor, 2GB RAM, 13-megapixel front and rear cameras, 2600mAh battery and Android 5.0 Lollipop with HTC Sense overlay. It should be noted that two models of the phone will be sold, one with a standard 13-megapixel front-facing camera and one with an Ultrapixel front-facing camera, for improved selfies in low light.
The HTC Desire 826 will be available in four different color options and an initial rollout will begin in Asian markets later this month. HTC said that a larger rollout of the device should not be ruled out.
