Many mobile manufacturers offer headphones and other audio accessories for use alongside their smartphones, including Samsung, LG and Apple. OnePlus joined that club last month with its Silver Bullet Earphones, and now the company has announced that it’s got a second, more premium pair of ‘phones on the way.
The OnePlus JBL E1+ Earphones come in a bright red color that matches the OnePlus logo that’s plastered on the firm’s packaging and more. Created in collaboration with audio company JBL, the earphones feature 9mm drivers and PureBass technology that is said to offer “maximized sound.” Also included is an in-line mic with three-button remote for changing tracks, altering volume and snapping photos as well as a flat, tangle-free cord.
If you’re the type that’s interested in the deep spec details of earphones, well, we’ve got those for you too:
- Driver: 9mm
- Impedance: 32Ω+/-15%
- Maximum SPL: 105dB @ 5mW
- Rated power input: 5mW
- Frequency: 10Hz-22000Hz
- Connector: 3.5mm
- Cable length: 1.2m
Compared to the OnePlus Silver Bullet Earphones, these new OnePlus JBL E1+ Earphones offer a wider frequency range and a flat cable. And while we’ll obviously have to wait until they’re in our ears before we know how they perform, we wouldn’t be surprised if the E1+ Earphones sound a bit better than their Silver Bullet siblings since they were created in collaboration with a company that’s got a lot of audio experience.
The OnePlus JBL E1+ Earphones will go on sale in October for $39.99.
