We knew that the OnePlus One would launch sometime in the second quarter of 2014, but we didn’t expect it to be so soon. The high spec, low price, CyanogenMod-powered handset has quite a few people excited, and they should start preparing for the official launch of the device. According to OnePlus, the One will launch on April 23rd!
The OnePlus One is a smartphone that’s focused on providing a great user experience and high-end hardware for a lower price than other premium phones, while also offering CyanogenMod (a community-based ROM) and easy ways to modify the device. The company has had a very social and transparent approach to creating the phone, which is great.
The One will feature a 5.5-inch 1080p display, a Snapdragon 801 processor, a 13-megapixel rear camera with 6 lenses and a 3,100 mAh battery. Those are pretty impressive specs for a device that should cost less than $400. Will you be buying one? Leave a comment, and stick around for the announcement in a little under a month!
