Twitter tipster @evleaks claims to have discovered the UAProf file for the HTC M8 device. In examining the file, it appears the device is headed to AT&T at the very least. Other specs are difficult to pick up from a UAProf file, but the information indicates the device will support a full 1920×1080 HD resolution and will have Android 4.4 KitKat installed. The information also indicates there will be zero buttons on the device, which is consistent with other reports that HTC was moving to software buttons.
A screen that supports full HD and Android KitKat were probably not in question. If anything, the lack of support for a higher resolution on the screen could prove troublesome from a marketing perspective for HTC if Samsung, LG and possibly others start hitting the market with 2K displays during 2014.
