The Galaxy Note 3 flagship device is surprisingly still missing its “official” CyanogenMod 11 build, but handset owners that want to try out an early build can now do so.
Only a few days ago we told you that the CyanogenMod source code for the Galaxy Note 3 was released, and it looks like developers have already started building the CM11 ROM for it (see Source link below).
As expected, early builds will come with various bugs so you may want to keep waiting for a while longer for a more stable CM11 ROM to be released. Even so, we’re not advising you to install custom ROMs on your device, and we’ll remind you that you’re the only person responsible for whatever happens with your handset during such procedures.
As for the official KitKat update for the Galaxy Note 3, the one that will be packed with TouchWiz features, well, Samsung is yet to announce release plans for it. French carrier SFR has said that the Galaxy S4 and Galaxy Note 3 will be updated to Android 4.4 early next year without providing actual release dates. For what it’s worth, the Galaxy S4 Google Play edition has already been updated to the latest KitKat version, which means Samsung must be working on similar updates for other flagship handsets.
That said, have you tried CM 11 on your Galaxy Note 3 yet?
