Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy Gear now available

In case you’ve forgotten, Verizon’s Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and Samsung Galaxy Gear smart watch are supposed to launch on October 10th. Well, my calendar sure does echo that date, and those devices are indeed available on the nation’s largest carrier.

Big Red’s version of the Note 3 is just the same as anyone’s, with two-year contract pricing being a standard $300. You can pair that up with the $300 Galaxy Gear. $600 in all is a bit tough to swallow, of course, so Verizon’s $0 down payment Edge plan might be right for you. It would allow you to get the Note 3 for $29.31 per month over the course of two years, which comes with the option to upgrade after six months.

The 5.7-inch Galaxy Note 3 sports a 1080p HD display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 quad-core chipset clocked at 2.3GHz with Adreno 330 graphics, 3GB of RAM, USB 3.0, a 13 megapixel camera with optical image stabilization and more. This big slate was thoroughly reviewed by Rob Jackson, so be sure to read that if you’re wondering whether or not it’s worth the big bucks Verizon’s asking for it.

Although the Note 3 has a bigger display, the overall size of the device is quite similar to the Galaxy Note 2. If you know how that feels then you’ll have no problem with the Note 3, but if you haven’t palmed one of these behemoths before you’ll want to stop in and check it out before you buy (because it most certainly isn’t for everyone). Head to Verizon’s site to order the Galaxy Note 3 (and the Galaxy Gear) today.
