Leaked brochure shows off Samsung Galaxy J, a smartphone tailored to Japan

The Samsung Galaxy S4 and Galaxy Note 3 are already on the market, both of which are awesome phones. However, it seems that they’re not good enough for Japan. With all of the special features Japanese phones have, like TV tuners, it looks like Samsung is making a specialized version of their Galaxy S4 specifically for the country.

According to the leaked NTT DoCoMo brochure, this custom tailored phone will be called the Galaxy J and will come in a few colors, like white, pink and blue. The specs will be bumped up from the Snapdragon 600 offered in the Galaxy S4 to a 2.3GHz Snapdragon 800 and 3GB of RAM, just like the Galaxy Note 3. And the corners are more squared off, which looks quite nice. It retains the same 5-inch display of the S4.

Unfortunately, we don’t yet know when this device will come out, but Japan should get it fairly soon. NTT DoCoMo will announce their holiday lineup of smartphones on October 10, so we might hear more about this device then. Are there any folks in Japan planning to get this device?
