The HTC One is a great phone and all, but with a 4.7-inch display, it’s a bit on the small side for a select group of people. Like me. With the release of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, HTC needs some competition in the oversized smartphone area, and their rumored HTC One max is exactly the device to do it. But when will it become official?
HTC has sent out invitations to a few events hinting at the release of the HTC One max. This first invite for October 18 in Kaohsiung, Taiwan (6PM local time) says:
“One finger opens up a big view.
You are invited to immerse in the sound with us.”
It seems like HTC is referring to all of the previous rumors: Fingerprint scanner, huge display and the standard Boomsound front speakers. The first line especially sounds like it will have a fingerprint scanner.
A second invitation was sent out for Hong Kong, this one on October 16 instead of 18. And according to eprice.com, the global launch for this device will be in China on October 15. That’s only a week away, so we’ll be seeing this device announced really soon. Then those in the market for a large phone will have to choose between Samsung and HTC, which won’t be hard for the fanboys. Are you excited for the HTC One max? Leave a comment!
