Alleged OnePlus 5 Camera Samples Surface

The OnePlus 5 has appeared once again in the rumour mill. A series of images, allegedly snapped using the OnePlus 5, have made their way online for the world to see.

The EXIF data reveals the device that snapped the photos bears the A5000 model number. Given that the OnePlus 3 is A3000, it makes sense to assume the A5000 is the OnePlus 5. On top of that the latitude and longitude of the EXIF data reveals the pictures were taken in Shenzhen, China which once again contributes to the theory (OnePlus is based on Shenzhen, China) these are indeed OnePlus 5 camera samples.

According to a photography expert who looked at these images, the OnePlus 5 might come with a 16-megapixel dual camera setup. It appears one of the sensors will be used to take wide angle photos, while the other will be in charge of capturing more depth info.

If we are to listen to current speculation, the OnePlus 5 should arrive with a 5.5-inch AMOLED display with 1080 x 1920 resolution or 1440 x 2560 resolution. It will bring forth a Snapdragon 835 processor and quite possibly up to 8GB of RAM with 64GB/128GB of native storage. It will take advantage of a decent 4,000 mAh battery and will run Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box (with Oxygen OS onboard). We expect it to make an appearance this summer.

LG Watch Style Available in Canada for $319

As we previously reported, LG Watch Style has made it to Canada. LG’s new Android Wear 2.0 smartwatch can now be purchased via the Canadian Google Store.

The watch is available in Silver, Titanium for $319 CAD and Rose Gold for an extra $40 CAD. The wearable comes with a circular 1.2-inch P-OLED display with 360 x 360 resolution and takes advantage of a Snapdragon Wear 2100 processor inside.

LG also throws in 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage. Unlike its higher-end LG Watch Sport brother, the LG Watch Style does not have NFC onboard, only Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. This means customers won’t be able to use services like Android Pay to pay for their purchases. However, the watch does come with Google Assistant onboard and thanks to Android Wear 2.0 customers will be able to download and install apps from the Play Store directly from their wrist.

The device relies on a 240 mAh battery which should last users at least for one day of normal use. The watch can perform the usual fitness-related functions thanks Google Fit onboard, which can help users record their exercising routines including walking, running, biking, treadmill running, stationary biking or aerobics. Last but not least, we should mention the watch also offers IP67 certification for dust and water resistance.

HTC U 11 specs leak hints at Snapdragon 835, 12MP UltraPixel 3 camera

The end of April was a whirlwind of info for HTC‘s upcoming and oft-rumored next flagship smartphone. We know it will be unveiled on May 16, that it will probably be called the HTC U 11, and that HTC is busy teasing the Edge Sense feature well ahead of its unveiling.

Now, thanks to a recent listing for the upcoming handset by MySmartPrice, the features of the upcoming handset may have found their way online before HTC can make anything official. The part that stands out this time around is that HTC is going a bit more competitive with this device than with the U Ultra.

If the leaked info is accurate, then the HTC U 11 will boast a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor under the hood with 6GB of RAM. The display will measure in at 5.5 inches and feature Quad HD resolution as well as Corning Gorilla Glass 5. On the back of the U 11 will be a 12-megapixel UltraPixel 3 camera with f/1.7 aperture. There’s a 16-megapixel front-facing camera with “Selfie Panorama” and an f/2.0 aperture.

HTC U 11 specs leak

The U 11 will indeed feature Edge Sense, which will allow owners to squeeze the phone to launch apps and more. HTC BoomSound will be on board, there’s a microSD card slot for expandable storage up to 2TB (on top of the 64GB/128GB built-in storage variants). Finally, the U 11 will also be IP57-rated for water resistance.

HTC plans to unveil the U 11 on May 16, so we don’t have long to wait before this new handset sees the light of day. Are you looking forward to it?

Samsung rolls out Bixby voice actions for the Galaxy S8 in South Korea

Ahead of the launch of the Galaxy S8, Samsung confirmed that while there would be the built-in Bixby features present, the voice actions would not be making the cut on April 21. For those in South Korea, the wait is now over, as reported by ZDNet.

There’s still no word on when the Bixby voice feature will make its way to other markets. Samsung has hinted at a launch “later this spring,” so it’s possible that we’ll see the feature land on more devices sooner rather than later.

If you own a Galaxy S8, is Bixby Voice one feature you’re eager to use?

WhatsApp lets you pin 3 chats to the top

Those of us who use WhatsApp a lot know that the conversation list can get pretty crowded very fast with groups, plenty of family and friends, and random individual chats. That leads the important chats, the ones you come back to many times during the day, to always change their order in the list and jump up and down depending on when the most recent message was sent. So you're left skimming the list with your eyes, and sometimes scrolling down, to find that conversation you need.

Team17's 2D arena game 'Penarium' is now available on the Play Store for $1.99

Team17, perhaps best known for its long-running Worms series, released 'Penarium' on Steam back in 2015. The game is centered around a sadistic arena-like circus show, where you take on the role as Willy as he tries to survive the death traps. Now the game has been released on the Play Store.

Much like the PC version, the Android port has very low requirements - it even works on Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread. The price isn't too bad either - just $1.99 for the entire game.
