Samsung Galaxy Note 6 rumored to feature USB Type-C port

Now that Samsung’s Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge are out there in the wild, eyes are starting to shift to what’s next from the manufacturer.

According to a report from SamMobile, the Galaxy Note 6 will boast a USB Type-C port. The shift would make sense considering USB Type-C is starting to see more attention from manufacturers. There are no other details included with that initial report, but it stands to reason that Samsung will want to use the latest implementation of the USB standard for the upcoming flagship.

As far as other rumors go, the Galaxy Note 6 is believed to feature water and dust resistance like in the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge, and it’s also believed to boast an iris scanner which would be used for owner authentication.

Are you waiting to see what the Galaxy Note 6 offers before you upgrade your phone this year?

The Play Store Now Shows Delta Update Size When An App Update Is Available

Screenshot_20160501-154424

Google added support for delta app updates ages ago to save you from re-downloading an entire app every time there's an update. That's all well and good, but the process hasn't been very transparent. Now, it looks like the Play Store has started showing the size of an update rather than the full app size.

If you check an app description in the Play Store prior to downloading an app, it shows the full download size.

Samsung's Gear 360 Action Camera Gets Its Own Manager App, Compatible With Galaxy S6, S7, And Note 5 Series Phones

360It's impossible to launch a new flagship phone these days without some fancy (and expensive) companion devices. At least that seems to be the approach that Samsung and LG are taking, and the former has a very interesting 360-degree action camera on the way. The Gear 360 captures both still photos and video in (you guessed it) 360 degrees thanks to dual lenses and a ball-like design. The Gear 360 is launched in Samsung's home market of Korea, and though it's yet to get a western release, the companion app is already available.

[APK Download] Gfycat Gets An Official Android App, But It's Geographically Limited At The Moment

2016-04-30 22.35.11Gfycat is an annoyingly misspelled place to post and retrieve animated GIFs, as well as more fancy-pants WebM videos. It's popular for uses where normal GIFs, which get surprisingly large as they get longer, are unwieldy or hard to embed. The tools on the site chomp standard videos and GIFs down into bite-sized versions, saving tons of bandwidth. The service has been around for a while, but now there's an official Android app...
