Samsung Galaxy Note 8 To Be Unveiled on August 23 in New York

If you’re eager to see what the Galaxy Note 8 is all about, mark this date in your calendar – August 23.

Samsung has started sending out invitations for an Unpacked event to be hosted on August 23 in New York – during which the company should pull the wraps off its next generation S Pen-endowed phablet.

Looking at the invite, there’s no doubt we’re going to see the Galaxy Note8 make a debut on the said date. Samsung invites fans to tune in to “Do bigger things” and even features a S Pen outline.

The Galaxy Note8 has been extensively leaked so far, so we expect it to arrive with a 6.3-inch Super AMOLED display with 18:5:9 aspect ratio as the Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+. The handset will be powered either by a Snapdragon 835 or Exynos 8895 and will include up to 6GB of RAM inside.

The phone’s back will also be home to a dual camera setup, which is visible in the latest leaked renders. Sadly, the fingerprint sensor is still positioned on the back of the device, just like in the case of the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+.

However, in the case of the Note 8, the LED flash is placed between the biometric lenses and camera lenses, which will hopefully prevent users from smudging the camera lenses.
